Transportation Department, Federal Aviation Administration | Proposed Rule | The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 747-8 series airplanes. This proposed AD would require performing repetitive external surface high frequency eddy current (HFEC) inspections of the upper fastener row of the fuselage skin lap splice for any crack and applicable on-condition actions.
